What’s the deal?

Chongqing has been trending. It’s the very conception of cyberpunk, a hub that’s been nicknamed the “8D city”, with everyone in awe of its verticality, glitz and neon.

A winding (and photogenic) staircase leads from the lobby to Yu, a gastronomic highlight which specialises in modern interpretations of Sichuan classics such as fish with mandarin peel and braised beef ribs. The opulent lobby lounge, Mist, offers the perfect vantage point to watch the city light up over the storied Yangtze River, with afternoon tea by day and live music by night.

Nan’an District is home to the Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center, a mainstay of the city’s MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) landscape, making the hotel a convenient choice for event attendees. Onsite, there’s ample space for events, including a large outdoor sky garden.

From the hotel, Nanshan Mountain is about a 30-minute taxi ride away. The Yangtze River cableway is also nearby, offering scenic rides across the river to the famed Hongya Cave.
